Same Sex Wedding Photographer San Diego | Wedding Photography offer If you didn’t already know, you should. Some rules have changed regarding Same Sex Marriages (Prop 8, DOMA). It means that the ‘official’ term “Marriage” is no longer regarded as being between a “Man and Women” but between people. People have a right to love who ever they want, and if the feelings are mutual, marry whoever they want too. It’s that simple. It’s been a long struggle for same sex couples fighting for equality, but things are changing for the better. With the fall of DOMA, a big step has been taken in the fight for equality. In California, Prop 8’s ban on same sex marriages has been overturned, another big step forward. California is now the 8th state in the US to grant same sex marriage licenses. Great news for all who want equality for all. Love wins!
In celebration of this great news, I’m offering all new clients a 20% discount off my wedding photography booked between now until the end of summer (September 21st 2013). Does this only apply to same sex couples and those wanting same sex wedding photography? No, absolutely not! Personally, I would feel a hypocrite offering only the discount for a same sex wedding after writing about equality for all. The offer is open to all LGBT allies.

Engagement Photography San Diego | Bethany & Kevin in Southpark, San Diego. We met and had a drink or two at Hamilton’s Tavern, a very cool alehouse in Southpark, San Diego. It’s one of Kevin and Bethany’s favorite hangout spots, especially because of some fun memories they have as a couple there. One of the aims of the engagement shoot was to document a regular day in Bethany and Kevin’s lives together, featuring the places and activities that mean a lot to them. A great thing about the place is that it allows dogs inside, which for many dog- owners is a big deal. Bethany and Kevin adopted a dog a while back; and she (Sophie) has since become a big part of the family, so it was only right she came along too. A few beers, a cool selection of songs picked to play on the Jukebox, a game of Shuffleboard or two later and Sophie was ready to go somewhere. Like any smart dog, Sophie knew her surroundings. She knew what was around the corner…the dog park. The Grape Street Dog Park is another one of those great things about South Park. Take a nice little walk from Hamilton’s through the neighborhood, and you’re there. It’s my dog’s favorite dog park in town, and Sophie’s too! The sun was shining bright. It was a really beautiful day in San Diego, and I was happy to get to know Bethany and Kevin more before their wedding. Engagement Photography San Diego
