Point Loma North Chapel | Brittany & Rob

Point Loma North Chapel | Brittany & Rob. I had the pleasure of photographing Brittany & Rob’s beautiful Wedding at Point Loma North Chapel which is located in Liberty Station. I’ve photographed many weddings in the North Chapel and as far a Chapels go this is great for my style, the pure white walls and simple design bode well for me and my vision. The area around Point Loma North Chapel in Liberty Station is also very nice and the gardens are always well kept. It was the area around the north chapel that we decided the photographs of the Brittany and her bridesmaids, and also all the groomsman would be taken. Brittany and Rob decided to have the reception a short trip down the road at San Diego Yacht Club. The weather was perfect and the boats in the marina surrounding the San Diego Yacht Club was a real treat for me when it came to photographing the pair of them together. You really can’t go wrong with the symmetry at a marina and San Diego Yacht Club was no different, beautifully kept marina and boats. A big thanks to my helping hand and second eye for the day Russel Edwards, he did a great job with the guys don’t you think.

Martin Johnson House Wedding | Brittney and John Part 2. If you’ve not seen part 1 yet then click the link here Martin Johnson House Wedding Photography. So here it is- the second part of this beautiful wedding held at the Martin Johnson House in La Jolla. And I do mean beautiful. Beautiful in the way that Brittney and John made their wedding truly reflect who they are as a couple in love. They did this with a simple story of family, friends, and food, but above all with the joy and emotions of those who cherish each other. Brittney chose not to have the traditional bouquet and garter toss seen at most weddings; instead, she reached out to John with a secret gift. She sang for him because they both love music. In just about all the images, I see the faces of people who are happy, smiling with the certainty that they are witnesses to a most perfect pair.

Martin Johnson House Wedding | Brittney & John Wedding Pt 1. Here is the first part of Brittney & John’ wedding from Martin Johnson House. The Martin Johnson house is set on the beautiful cliffs of La Jolla and has stunning views of the ocean. The wedding day started in downtown San Diego at The Marriott Marquis for the getting ready photographs, and also the Bride and Groom portraits. Then it was straight to Martin Johnson House for the rest of the wedding day. As soon as Brittney arrived at the house it was onto a quick but very touching and personal ceremony, all before the sun was about to set. Brittney and John your both awesome! it’s people like you and weddings like yours that make my job great, Thank you! Wedding Photography Martin Johnson House | Britt & Johnie Preview. These two had the best wedding! Me and my wife both agree that if we were to have another wedding then it would be like this one. Great location, Simply styled to perfection with great music and the best food ever! Really it was! Johnie is a chef at “the Market Restaurant” and planned the menu for the wedding, he had his good friend and critically acclaimed chef Carl Schroeder and his team come along to make it. I can’t wait to share this wedding with you all!

Little Italy Engagement Portraits | Brittany & Rob. A selection of Portraits of a couple soon to be married. Brittany & Rob decided that Balboa park was the perfect place to get great looking engagement portraits. I’m equally adept to many different types of areas/venues when it comes to photographing couples. But I personally think I excel in Urban scenes. About 20 mins into the shoot at Balboa Park I sensed that this setting was not really them. We got a little disheartened when we figured we was one of about 5 seen photographers+couples walking around Balboa Park (image just how many couples get photographs taken there each year), I find it so uninspiring doing the same things that have been done many times before, and when at Balboa park its hard to find a setting/image thats not already been done a million times before. It’s not that there’s anything wrong with wanting these kind of images for your engagement, its a beautiful place after all. For me personally I want to create something unique that matches well with my style of imagery and with each couple I photograph. So when I sense that they wanted that unique look, I jumped at the chance to suggest my favorite stomping ground for good Urban images. It was all of a 5 mins drive down the road to Little Italy. Now I’m in my element. Perhaps you think my Balboa images are better? Little Engagement Engagement Portraits below the green nature ones of Balboa Park.

Los Penasquitos Ranch House Wedding Photographer | Leigh Ann & Armando Part 2. Here is second part of Leigh Ann & Armando’ Los Penasquitos Ranch House wedding. Here you can really see what a great job both Leigh Ann and Melissa of Pow Wow did in styling this wedding. The pair are great friend since going to Design School together. Not only did this Los Penasquitos Ranch House wedding look great it was great. Great atmosphere from a close bunch of friends and family. The music was right up my street and was providing by DJ Kid Jagger. Now DJ’s have it tough because we photographers can take an image of there work like for instance Pow Wow styling here, so I have to give this guy some extended written credit. If your not a fan of the usual wedding mix (you know the kind that plays the classic wedding songs along with the years finest Pop/dance songs) and your like me a huge Rock ‘n’ Roll fan, then leave it up to this guy! He rocks!! and he won’t cave in when guests come up to him requesting cheese. It certainly was the most fun my ears have had at a wedding to date. The Sun was shining upon this wedding, great music was been played, and great food was to be had. Grand Ole BBQ came with his trailer full of the best BBQ you will taste. I’m new to real BBQ, as I’m English and our BBQ’s are pretty lame as we don’t get the weather often enough to ever get good (cold and wet for most the year). In the 2+ years I’ve been here in the USA I’ve had more good BBQ’s than an Englishman would ever dream of. Grand Ole BBQ was bang on the money and the best yet. This Los Penasquitos Ranch House Wedding was awesome for all our senses!

Los Penasquitos Ranch House Wedding Photography/ Leigh Ann & Armando Part 1. Here’s the first half of Leigh Ann & Armando’ stunning Los Penasquitos Ranch House wedding. The Ranch House is located to North of San Diego, inland of Del Mar. It was such a beautiful venue as its such an open yet very private space. The weather was near perfect too. Before heading to Los Penasquitos Ranch House Leigh Ann had her MUA & Hairstylist come to her Hotel for the getting ready shots! So please don’t mistake the first few images as ones from the Ranch House. I had the pleasure of working with so many great artists in there own right. Pow Wow vintage supplied the goods that made this wedding what it was, a colorful bohemian style wedding that was nothing short of spectacular. Sweet Revelry Events made sure the wedding ran smoothly throughout, she also made some great custom signage for the wedding. I will write more on this Los Penasquitos Ranch House Wedding when I publish the second half. Salk Institute Engagement Photographer / Courtney & Lorenzo part 2 at the Salk Institute, La Jolla. La Jolla Salk Institute is one of the most impressive pieces of architecture I’ve ever seen. The symmetry, the use of negative space, the simple tones and materials used are very appealing for me as a photographer and a person. I’m very much a minimalist when it come to photography. I like to make my images easy on the eye, using all the things that the Salk Institute has. This place is a dream location for engagement photography.
